  One of the few 'old school' Australian pubs left in the city. Great for a quality lunch. A little crowded at peak times and, in my opinion, would be better off without the poker machine area.

  Sure, it's not the most ritzy, however they do the best with what they have. Staff is helpful and friendly and attentive to cleanliness. Only insignificant issue is that the Windows tend to leak the cold winter air at night, extra blankets will help with that. If you want somewhere inexpensive and quality this is your place! Common toiletries were supplied which I was very thankful for. Right next to the train station and the Opera House. Don't go in with unrealistic expectations and you'll enjoy your stay like I have so far!

  Good bar, rooms are ok with shared bathrooms but has a character since it is a very old hotel. Right in the heart of the city, walkable distance to ferry which will take you to opera house. Taxi is a cheap option is you want to reach main spots quickly. Recommended for single or couples, not for families.

  Best pub in Sydney. Friendly staff. $5.50 happy hour pints between 5-7pm. Music sometimes questionable. Very crowded on Friday evenings. Great beer selection (VB drinkers need not apply). Good food Monday to Friday. Sports can be shown on request but usually with the previously mentioned music overlaying any possible commentary attempts.
