Opened in January last year, The Workshop not only boasts one of Melbourne's most intriguing new bar designs, but is also a perfect illustration of Melbourne's thriving underground cultural scene. Developed from the shell of an old motorcycle repair shop, old relics of its past can be found in every corner. Although it has the capacity to rock with hundreds of people, you will still enjoy finding your way through its nooks and crannies and staking your claim on one of the many small private spaces within.
The Workshop is a visual head on collision of raw industrial materials and Melbourne's cosmopolitan culture. It seems to entwine the rough and unrefined with classic Melbourne chic and style, leaving a venue that can accommodate just about anyone.

    Very nice little hidden away bar. You'd definitely just walk right by it (as we did multiple times) before finding it! Once you've found it you'll love it. Their beer selection is very vast and their outside seating area is pretty good too. The atmostphere is great and so are the bar staff. They're clued up about their beers and what the selection is, very useful for recommendations.

    Good place. It usually gets pretty crowded on Fridays and Saturdays and finding a spot to sit could be quite challenging. Has a great vibe and would recommend if you go there with friends to relax and drink a bit.

    Wonderful place for a weekend brunch! Sometimes a bit of a wait but it's well worth it. Bit expensive so for the uni students it is definitely a treat!
