The hotel formerly know as the Middle Park Hotel was opened as the Gunn Island Hotel in November 2001 after being closed for five months for an extensive refurbishment.

Gunn Island The new establishment was built around a micro brewery which became inactive in November last year in order for the hotel to concentrate on a stronger all round food and beverage offer. With an extensive range of tap and bottled beers, an impressive pub wine list, the talented Brendan Jones in the kitchen and very attractive surroundings, there's a very good chance you'll have a very nice time...

    Nice steak night, great chips with a plane salad - not the cheapest in town. Fitout isn't new, but holds up well for a great local spot. Bloody good wine.

    The food is excellent. Great beers too and a fantastic happy hour. There are a number of booths you can sit at with your own tv to watch a sports game of your choice. My local favorite.

    Nice pub, comfy rooms, although no space to work if you want to set up a laptop. Very good bar with excellent food. Tried a steak on 'Steak Night' Tuesday and it was sensational. Gray service.

    A cool little place, The girls working accommodation were super friendly and asking how to get to the G she gave us the exact direction on which train to catch and where to catch the next, even which way our back should be. (best directions ever) Comfy bed, awesome big shower. loved it
