The Night Cat is unique, a large open space in Fitzroy, distinctly decorated and beautifully lit by its originators in authentic Fitzroy style.
The Night Cat is the original, a much loved and appreciated institution.
The Night Cat is one of the only venues where the audience can experience a 360 degree view of the amazing bands that perform, having the stage set in the round, right in the middle of the venue.

A large dance floor caters to the majority of people who like to groove, but there is also plenty of lounge to just people watch.
Open Thursday to Sunday from 9pm with free entry this is definitely one of the best places to start the PARTY!!!!!!

    Well worth the effort to get here on a Sunday. Just $25 entry for a live band, lessons included and of course, a social evening. Lovely teachers. This weekend the band was from Sydney they were fantastic, very talented producing high quality sound. Found the bar staff fun and helpful can't fault it at all.

    Jason that works security is fantastic, made sure our friend was ok after getting separated from our group, even stayed after his shift whilst waiting for us to arrive to make sure she was safe, great guy!
