  Had an amazing experience with good food and drinks. Wasn't the best Japanese I have ever had but it was near the top. Had the chef's platter, takoyaki, skewers for food and enjoyed it all however the fish tasted quite refrigerated and lacked the freshness. The drinks we got were sake flights and cocktails. No complaints there as they were great. Would definitely go back for the other dishes and cocktails.

  Great food and the staff are always friendly. The beers are great. Value for money. I would recommend the katsu curry.

  Nice joint to escape from the hustle bustle of the city, and enjoy a quite sake with some mouth watering side dishes! Masa-San is the best! Thank-You!

  Simple decor, wonderful atmosphere. A few different variations of plum wine and sake are on offer (go with the Choya Original; it's incredible!). The presentation of the food is average, but that ties in with affordable pricing. The Japanese curry is a good go to and the una don, full of wonderful eel, was also worth a nibble. The only thing holding this place back is its average tempura. The vegetables are overcooked and soggy, and possibly cut a little thicker than your average tempura. In summary, enjoyable food for those with a budget. But you do get what you pay for, so if you're looking for something a little nicer, you'd best go elsewhere.

  We went with a friend from Japan on his recommendation and weren't disappointed. The food was delicious and authentic, and the waitstaff were all pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. We had no trouble holding a conversation despite the venue being full most of the time we were there. Would definitely recommend.
