Spent the day on this trip with my teenage son. Such a well organised trip on a very comfortable air conditioned coach. Our guide was Travis or Trip (somerhing like that. Sorry but I can't remember). He was a teacher & left it to do something different. He was very well educated in everything about Australia. He had lots of interesting stories & nuggets of information to share. He was very easy to listen to & not over powering or boring. We had an excellent day & everyone on that tour felt it was definitely worth the money. Thank you 😊
We spent a day touring the Blue Mountains and visited the Sydney Zoo. Our tour guide John S was amazing from start to finish. Our bus was so comfortable and he gave us great history along the way. The blue mountains where spectacular, bought the cable car passes on the day. John S allowed us plenty of time in each location and added a few extra special stops in as a bonus which was very nice. Overall we had a great experience and would highly recommend it.
Our guide, Trys, said he was a former teacher, and his knowledge of all things Australia proved it. We enjoyed listening to his anecdotes and fun facts on the ride out to the Blue Mountains. The look out at the Blue Mountains as well as Scenic World were allotted ample time, but the stop in Leura was very rushed. We didn't get to finish our meal, as we had to run back to the bus, and had absolutely no time at all in any of the shops. It looked like a quaint little town, and we would have liked to explore it for a couple of hours. We were told the company had changed contracts and we wouldn't be going to the Wildlife Park that was originally on our agenda, but to the Sydney Zoo. The zoo was small and easily walk-able, but I was really looking forward to the Wildlife Park, where brochures showed a much more hands-on animal experience. We had the option to take the ferry back to Sydney (at a small extra cost) and did so. All-in-all it was an enjoyable outing, and we learned quite a bit of Australian history and culture.
Brilliant day, our tour guide and coach driver Ben was great. He knew his knowledge of the trip and history of the area. Sydney Zoo was good, really interesting talk about the history and ways of the indigenous tribes in Australia from Kiera, Karl and Kierah.
The tour was fine except for the weather but not their fault. The driver and tour guide (Mac) was the only one on our 3 week vacation that I did not tip. He was demeaning, belittling, and insulting. It started before we even got on the bus. I asked him if there was WiFi on the bus, he responded with a disgusted look as he said "did you come to Australia to see the country or be on Wi-Fi?" He continued with smart-ass wisecracks throughout the trip, very judgemental and I found him to be a jerk.
This was most probably the best tour we had over the 18 days we spent in New Zealand and Australia. Trys Was a fantastic guide and related to everyone on the tour many of the exciting things he has enjoyed from growing up in Australia. Very well done Trys. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to enjoy just a few of the many highlights of Sidney, the Blue Mountains, small villages and attractions.
This is one of the best tours I have ever done. I did hesitate when booking it as it was quite expensive but it was easily worth every penny and there were no hidden costs at all. We were really lucky that it was raining as we got to see the waterfall near the 3 sisters and could see the mountains as the rain had cleared the smoke. Our tour guide (Trys) was extremely informative and really looked after everyone well. The scenic world was beautiful, Leura a very pretty town to stop for lunch, lunch was fine, the new zoo really great and the boat trip along the river into the city was great. everything ran smoothly and it was a great day out.
I scheduled the Blue Mountain Tour, which was very expensive for a family of three. I thought the pick up time was 0750 at the hotel. When actually it was 0720. They told me they called my room and no one answered. No one thought I would be in the breakfast area for some reason. So they just left. I called the company and asked where they were. I was told they came and left and would not supply a refund because we no showed. I said it's only 0750 is it possible to get someone else to drop us off with the group. She said no and there's no refunds. I am very disappointed in this organization. For the money, I would expect some sort of accommodation. Why would a family fly all the way to Australia to no show an expensive event. And what really kills me was I never asked the lady for a refund. She just made sure I knew that a refund was totally out of the question.
