  This is about the best pizza in Melbourne from a family who've perfected the recipe decades ago and have been delivering the same quality ever since. I've been going here with friends and family since I can remember and after heading back on sat night after over a 2 year absence, the pizza is still perfect. You 100% must try the margherita - I know most might not agree but fancy toppings hide the quality of a good pizza. margherita is the true test of a good pizza place (and imho Penne Napoli the test for a good pasta). Don't expect sugary sauces like dominos or pizza-hut. This is pizza excellence. I especially love the napkins Pizza al Metro - now is that because they ordered pallet loads back in the 90s or still ordering from the same printer?... i'll ask next time :) If you're expecting quick service or a hand-and-foot waitress don't bother - this place is about respect for the food. Be prepared to wait, but absolutely worth it.
